How Asana Can Help Teachers Organize Their Work: A quick introduction to the power of asana for educators w/ special guest Janice Cook

I teach an entire group program on the power of systems and how they can help keep us organized and productive. I’ve been delighted by the number of teachers and educators who have taken my course so far and wanted to bring in an expert who understands what teachers need to improve their workflows.

While I don’t give specific program recommendations in the course, I do provide a handy cheat sheet for checking out some of the most popular programs and finding ones that fit your needs, and one of the most popular tools currently out there is Asana. Asana is a web and mobile task management platform designed to help you organize, track, and manage your work.

Janice Cook is a certified Asana Partner and former teacher-turned-online-educator who is going to show you everything that Asana has to offer when it comes to making the lives of teachers more streamlined and efficient. I’m so excited to introduce you to Janice and her work!

Grab your beverage of choice and press play on the video below when you’re ready. In it, you’ll discover:

  • What Asana is, how it works, and why it’s helpful for educators
  • A simple tour of Asana and how the FREE version can help teachers
  • How Asana can help you stay focused day-to-day and make the most of your ABTs (available blocks of time).
  • How to link tasks across multiple projects so that all the reference links/passwords/documents are always easily available.
  • How to use Asana for yourself or with your team/organization.
  • A quick intro to the mobile app and using it to capture ideas on the go

If you are an educator wanting to use Asana to organize your work or team, you can get one-on-one help from Janice through her website. For more tips, you can also connect with her on Instagram @TeacherJaniceVA where she shares incredible tips and resources for fellow educators.
