Taking a few minutes to designate start-up tabs for Google Chrome or your internet browser of choice can help maximize your productivity! It saves you time and energy, and it can also help you develop habits like reviewing your to-do list, filling out a habit tracker, meditating, or writing 500 words a day.

I have my browser open up my work and personal email, along with both of my online shops, customer service inboxes, and habit trackers, as soon as I fire it up. I’ve always been amazed at how this helps me stay focused and on track with my day, and hope it’s helpful for you, too!

Click on this video for a short (2:38) video showing these steps, and see below for a text breakdown.

How to Designate Start-Up Tabs in Google Chrome:

  1. Open your Google Chrome browser.
  2. Open new tabs across the top for each website/service you’d like to have auto-open.
  3. Sign in to each website/service and navigate to the exact page or dashboard you want opened.
  4. Go to the three dots in the top right of your browser and select “settings” from the menu.
  5. Along the left side, navigate to “On Startup.”
  6. Click the option for “Open a specific page or set of pages.”
  7. Then choose “Use current pages.”
  8. It will auto-populate all of your current tabs into a list.
  9. The next time you start your browser, it will open up this set of tabs for you.
  10. Return to settings > on start-up to edit or delete an of your saved tabs.
