9 pieces I'm loving from the Universal Thread Collection from Target Review! | Thyme is Honey

I know I’m not going to blow any minds here, especially for all my Minnesota friends (home of Target HQ), but, the Universal Thread Collection from Target is incredible and if you don’t know about it yet, you need to.

It reminds me a lot of Madewell, with a fairly neutral color palette and great linen, cotton and denim fabrics. Below are 9 pieces that I tried on in store and loved. Although I probably would have bought ALL of them if we hadn’t been on the cusp of a move, three of them did make it into my box and they are pieces that I have already worn so many times in Denmark, like the jumpsuit pictured above. I love how comfortable it is and that it’s easy to just toss on and go.

Almost all the items in the collection are also available in extra fabulous sizes (through 4X), making these cute pieces perfect for women of all shapes and sizes.

The first item here is the jumpsuit that I’ve been wearing nonstop (here’s a link to the extended sizes). It’ll be cute with sandals later this summer like the tan Universal Thread sandals featured above. I currently pair it with my Rothy’s (pictured in black) and it makes a great outfit for biking or walking around the city. I also paired this outfit with a long black duster coat and wore it to a party on a cooler day. Another piece I purchased was the polka-dot collared shirt. I love this buttoned all the way up for work meetings or tied in the front for a fun summer look.

I kind of regret not buying this black dress, because it was super cute. The fabric was bit on the thin side, but I loved the way it fit and the cute tie closure on the top. I did add two of these tank tops, one in black and one in yellow. I love that the v-neck sits higher on my chest and that it has a cute cross-back detail. I also love that the tank top isn’t super long, so it tucks nicely into high-waisted pants.

This jumpsuit was so adorable, but I was having a hard time justifying adding two jumpsuits to my wardrobe. Knowing how much I wear the other one, though, I think this would have made a nice addition to my closet (here’s a link to it in extended sizes). Does anyone want to ship it to me (*wink*)? I also love these slip-on sneakers, which remind me of these Via Spigas that I wear all the time (but for 1/3 the price).

I’m probably going to miss having a Target right down the street, but I’m really glad I brought a bit of it with me.

You can shop the entire Universal Thread Collection right here.

P.S. My hair hates the hard water in Denmark, as showcased in the photo above. If you’ve got tips, send ’em my way.

Personally think your hair looks AMAZING! That volume though!

I love the new lines at target! I especially love that the sizes are so inclusive!

My best advice for living with hard water is to use a really good leave in conditioner in addition to your regular hair care routine. I live in an area known for hard water so I speak from experience. Good luck!
