The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years have historically been my busiest time of year. Not only do sales in my Etsy Shop ramp up going into NYE, but all of my clients are busy with holiday promotions, sales and events which puts my brain in a hundred directions throughout the day. It gets nuts and this year we had a tiny 7-week old foster puppy in our care on top of the crazy. I only wrote 6 posts on my blog in December, no doubt the most MIA I have been in the past 6 years but the little break was necessary and appreciated. Anyways, lets kick 2016 off with some tunes, shall we? Here are some jams that have been on my Spotify playlist and blasting on my Sonos system lately-
Lose it by Oh Wonder – Every playlist will have at least one tune that my mister discovered for me. This is the one.
Marvin Gaye by Charlie Puth featuring Meghan Trainor – Spoiler alert: “Let’s Marvin Gaye” is code for “Let’s get it on”. See what they did there?
Devil in Me by Anderson East – I’m not quiet about my love for artists like Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell. Add Anderson East to my list of rustic modern cowboys. Rawr.
I Mean It by G-Eazy – I’ll be honest, this rap song has been getting too much playtime at our house recently. We’re hardcore.
All the Time by Bahamas – Bahamas is a stage name for Canadian-born Alfie Jurvanen and I like his style.
Forever Young by Rhiannon Giddens featuring Iron & Wine – As a diehard ‘Parenthood’ fan this song strikes an emotional cord the second it comes on. I love this rendition of the shows theme song done by two amazing artists.
