The past 3 months have been super fun thanks to my RocksBox Subscription. Haven’t heard about it yet? Let me tell you a little more about it (plus I also have a special deal so that you can try RocksBox for 1-month for free)!
RocksBox is a subscription service that delivers beautiful designer jewelry right to your doorstep. You simply go to the website, create an account, and fill out your style profile by answering simple questions. Once that is set up you will patiently wait for your first set! A few days later a lovely little box will arrive in the mail and it will include 3 pieces of jewelry. You are free to wear the jewelry as much or as little as you want. You can keep it for 3 days or a month—–whatever! If there’s anything you really love, you have the option of purchasing the piece. When you’re tired of the set you just drop it back into the mail (the return postage is already paid, you just slap the label on it)! A few days later a new set will arrive for you to enjoy. My favorite part about this is that there is no limit to how often you can exchange a set. You could wear all 3 pieces within a few days, send it back, and have a new set before next weekend. It’s really fun and I absolutely adore getting that box of goodies in the mail. I’ve been doing RocksBox for 3 months and here are some additional thoughts:
1. Make a pinboard! You have the opportunity to share a pinterest link with your stylist. Create a pinboard that is just for jewelry (here’s my Bling + Baubles Board) and add the link to your Style Profile so that your stylist can see what you like. This will increase the likelihood that you get pieces you like. I added this necklace to my Pinterest board and had it within days. I love the honeycombs (a little matchy-matchy with my business branding and I love it). I think I’ll be keeping this one.
2. Communicate with your stylist! I’ve had a really positive experience chatting with my stylist. When you return a set you can hop online and leave feedback for your next set. Be honest about what you liked or didn’t like and also tell them about upcoming events, trips or even drop a link to a new dress or shirt that you want to pair up with new jewelry. Also, specify what you will wear. You can specify what type of jewelry they send (earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings). If you know you don’t wear one of those, don’t leave it as an option! Personally I despise bracelets, so I don’t receive them in my sets.
3. The jewelry is kind of expensive. Which is part of the fun. When else will you wear a $100 pair of earrings or a $60 necklace? For most of us, not often. But you might find that you don’t purchase items very often (or maybe never)! And that’s fine. But also beware that if you lose it, you are responsible for the cost of it. So, proceed with caution. However, if a piece breaks you are not responsible for it. Just send it back, no worries.
4. Take advantage of discounted rates! The service is $19.99 a month, which is an incredible deal, but if you sign up for a year it’s $15.00 per month—which is even better! I signed up for the full year and have no regrets. Getting fresh jewelry in the mail has actually made me look at my wardrobe differently. I get a bright statement necklace and instantly think of 3 things in my closet that I’m anxious to pair it with. This means that I have definitely noticed that I spend less on clothes each month, which totally justifies the cost for me.

If you’re a dude the 6 or 12 month memberships are a pretty incredible gift for the lady in your life. Thank me later.
