Lip Treatment

Nightly Lip Treatment: nourish, exfoliate, hydrate.

If you love lipstick as much as I do then you also appreciate the need for a pretty serious regimen when it comes to your lips. Keeping them flake-free and well moisturized is key—especially in the summer. Here’s the routine I currently swear by:

1. After washing your face, gently massage 1/2 tsp One Love Organics Skin Savior Balm ($68.00) into your lips and the area around your mouth using the tips of your fingers.

2. Next, gently exfoliate using The Cleansing Sponge ($10.00). This little baby is really the secret to this routine. It’s impossible to describe the texture of a konjac sponge to someone who has never used one, but it’s really amazing! I use one on my entire face, but have been really impressed with its ability to gently smooth the skin on my lips without being too harsh. If you’re after a deeper exfoliation you can also try incorporating Brand New Day Scrub ($39.00) into this step.

3. After a good exfoliation I like to apply Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm ($48.00) to my lips! Kind of weird, sure, but it’s thick texture applies like a lip mask and stays on all night while you sleep. You’ll wake up with glowing lips that are ready for your favorite shade of lipstick (although you might just skip it when you see how good they look)!
